Shane Bridges Biography
Shane Bridges

Shane Bridges is a singer songwriter that has been on the scene since 1995 when he and fellow friend Josh Carson formed Acoustic Workshop.

After heavy touring for three years and selling a very impressive amount of Cd’s independently, Acoustic Workshop made quite a name throughout the southeast. At the end of 1997 Acoustic Workshop would come to an end, which would spark a new beginning for Shane’s writing.

Several months later he and Josh would start a new band called Dear America. This was a different style band with a little more edge. Shane had begun to write more radio friendly tunes that would catch the ears of industry people such as Ian Copeland, entertainment lawyer Nick Ferrara, Michael Rosenblatt (MCA) and several other major labels.

Encouraged to go as a singer songwriter, Shane still held off for one more band. His final band before going solo was Oldstar. Shane started Oldstar after coming out of the studio in 1999. He recorded the Oldstar album with the help from Peter Stroud (guitarist for Don Henley, Sheryl Crow, Pete Droge). After Oldstar disbanded, Shane did what lawyers and labels told him to do years before: go solo.

Drummer Jimmy Hayes and bass player Al Alysworth formed the backbone behind Shane Bridges initial solo effort. The style is roots rock mixed with alternative country.

During this time other individuals have supported Shane Bridges. The current line up features Dave Letendre on Bass, Carling "Sparkles" Schatzman on drums and Chris Raspante on Guitar.

Shane’s influences are The Jayhawks, Gram Parsons, Steve Earl, Willie Nelson to The Replacements. Strong songs with good lyrics is the mold he takes with songwriting. Check the tunes and see for yourself.
